His unwavering commitment to dialogue and peaceful coexistence has earned him moral authority that is widely recognized beyond the Catholic world.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">On April 25, 2026, he published an important pastoral letter devoted to the Church\u2019s mission in the Holy Land in the context of the current conflict<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\"><a title=\"https:\/\/4uq9p.r.sp1-brevo.net\/mk\/cl\/f\/sh\/7nVU1aA2nfsTSegQ2ibhWZEHoUZW0Ru\/qLL2fasVZ_XD\" href=\"https:\/\/4uq9p.r.sp1-brevo.net\/mk\/cl\/f\/sh\/7nVU1aA2nfsTSegQ2ibhWZEHoUZW0Ru\/qLL2fasVZ_XD\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" type=\"absoluteLink\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\"><strong>: \u201cThey Returned to Jerusalem with Great Joy\u201d: <\/strong><\/a><\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\"><a title=\"https:\/\/4uq9p.r.sp1-brevo.net\/mk\/cl\/f\/sh\/7nVU1aA2nfuMSBBj1Hq9YvY5yr4IkOQ\/J4_ak1VY_NYe\" href=\"https:\/\/4uq9p.r.sp1-brevo.net\/mk\/cl\/f\/sh\/7nVU1aA2nfuMSBBj1Hq9YvY5yr4IkOQ\/J4_ak1VY_NYe\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" type=\"absoluteLink\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\"><em><strong>A Proposal for Living Out the Church\u2019s Vocation in the Holy Land\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This pastoral letter had a significant impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-ogsc=\"\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">From June 8 to 10, the cardinal will be in Paris to meet with the faithful, representatives of the Eastern Churches, and church, cultural, and institutional leaders.
