He described the punishments reserved for sinners and the rewards for the righteous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon hearing these words, Eudoxia was deeply moved and decided to change her life. She was baptized, distributed her possessions to the poor, and led a life of penance in a monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, at a time when Christians were being persecuted, her faith drew the attention of the Roman authorities. Arrested on the governor\u2019s orders, Eudoxia was ordered to pray to the pagan gods.
