“L’Œuvre d’Orient, along with millions of French people, has expressed its outrage at the deadly attacks against the Coptic communities in Tanta and Alexandria on Palm Sunday.
Today, L’Œuvre d’Orient thanks the French people for their outpouring of solidarity with their Coptic brothers and sisters. It extends special thanks to Mr. Christian Estrosi, President, and Mr. Renaud Muselier, Deputy President of the Provence-Côte d’Azur region, for the exceptional emergency aid of 200,000 € provided to the victims’ families.
To demonstrate the solidarity of French Christians with their Egyptian brothers, Bishop Pascal Gollnisch will travel to Cairo this evening, where he will participate in the Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday celebrations alongside the patriarchs and the Coptic communities.
