Wars and acts of iconoclasm in the Middle East have severely damaged the two-thousand-year-old heritage of Christian communities. L’Œuvre d’Orient contributes to the preservation of both tangible heritage (places of worship, libraries) and intangible heritage (knowledge, education, and the restoration of manuscripts).
