Working Closely with Eastern Christians and Their Communities
For more than 170 years, Œuvre d’Orient has been working alongside Eastern Christians and their communities. To address their needs as closely as possible and provide long-term support for their projects, the organization relies on an international presence and teams embedded in local communities.
Our country offices maintain direct ties with Œuvre d’Orient’s partners: religious communities, schools, health facilities, associations, and local stakeholders. They enable us to better understand the specific challenges facing each country, monitor projects, and strengthen our ties with those we support.
Today, Œuvre d’Orient has offices in Lebanon, Iraq, Armenia, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the Holy Land.
Working on the Ground
L’Œuvre d’Orient’s presence in these countries enables our teams to monitor projects over the long term and respond as closely as possible to the needs of local populations.
Education, health, social services, cultural heritage, community development, and humanitarian aid: our teams support initiatives that help Christians in the East live and work in their own countries, serving everyone.
This close connection to the ground is essential for developing projects tailored to local realities and building strong partnerships with the organizations that work daily with local communities.
