Christian
Schools Since 1856, L’Œuvre d’Orient has been working with religious communities in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, the Horn of Africa, and India. These communities provide a high-quality education in these schools, which are predominantly French-speaking and open to everyone, regardless of religion, gender, or whether they live in cities or rural areas.
Providing a Future
80% of Christian schools in Lebanon are at risk of closing, and 40% of children in Tigray, Ethiopia, are not enrolled in school. As victims of wars or economic crises, these children deserve a future. From India to the Middle East, from Ukraine to Armenia, Christian schools in the East offer much more than just an education. Thanks to these schools, Christians and Muslims, girls and boys, learn and grow together. Educated and imbued with strong values, these young people will be the architects of their countries’ reconstruction tomorrow. By donating €20 a month, you become an agent of peace.
