The Ordinariate of Eastern Catholics in France is an institution of the Catholic Church. It serves as the diocese for Eastern Catholics who do not have their own bishop in France. The bishop of the Ordinariate is a member of the French Bishops’ Conference. He is responsible for Eastern Catholics and ensures that their rite and their ties to their respective Churches are respected.
Under the authority of the Vicar General of the Ordinariate, you will provide administrative, organizational, and operational support to the Ordinariate’s leadership:
You will work with the Vicar General, in collaboration with the members of the curia (episcopal vicars, bursar, chancellor, and head of the marriage office), and in coordination with the parishes of the Ordinariate.
Reporting to the Vicar General, your main responsibilities will be to:
· Assist management in overseeing the Ordinariate’s activities;
· Handle and follow up on mail, emails, and various requests;
· Organize the schedule, meetings, and work-related gatherings;
· Prepare the files, documents, and materials needed for the department's activities;
· Draft reports, memos, and correspondence, and ensure that data is archived;
· Follow up on decisions and actions taken;
· Facilitate communication between management, employees, and external stakeholders;
· Help implement institutional projects and communication initiatives;
· Help organize events, meetings, and travel.

You have a genuine interest in the Church and in Eastern Christians;

You have a college degree and experience working as a secretary in a small-to-medium-sized organization.

– Discretion and a sense of confidentiality,
– Proficiency in secretarial and file management techniques,
– Excellent oral and written communication skills in French; knowledge of English is preferred,
– Proficiency in office and digital tools (Office suite, Canva, the Internet, etc.),
– Some basic knowledge of accounting is a plus.
