Under your protection, O Most Holy Mother of God,
Christians from the Eastern Churches have always found refuge there.
Bring together Christians from the East and the West in the love of your Son
so that the unity of the Churches may resemble that of the Holy Trinity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Give them courage in times of trial, patience in times of persecution, and hope in times of conflict.
O You, true daughter of Abraham, grant that the faithful of the three religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—may treat one another with brotherly love as sons and daughters of the same Father.
May they seek peace in this land where the Prince of Peace appeared.
In faithfulness to the Church and her mission, inspire the brothers of the West to feel gratitude toward their brothers of the East, and inspire everyone with the love that gives life and fosters faith in the salvation that the Father offers to all people.

We place our trust in you, the Christians of the churches of the Middle East who have always found refuge in you.
